If you\u2019re a regular rockpool adventurer<\/a> then you\u2019ve probably come across a mermaid\u2019s purse or two. <\/span>They\u2019re are tough, leathery pouches<\/span>. Commonly found washed up on beaches. However, a mermaid\u2019s purse is actually an egg case f<\/span>rom a Shark o<\/span>r Ray. Find one of them (and they\u2019re pretty easy to find), chances are you\u2019ve found a shark! At least where a young shark was developed and born!<\/span><\/p>\n

How can I learn more about mermaid\u2019s purses?<\/b><\/h2>\n

No, not all sharks produce mermaid\u2019s purses; and no, it\u2019s not seaweed!<\/span><\/i>
