The idea of diving with sharks can bring a mix of feelings<\/span>. A little fear but also excitement to get up close and personal with these fascinating underwater creatures. There\u2019s nothing more memorable than going beneath the surface and experiencing the beauty <\/span>of these animals up close.\u00a0<\/span>
\nBut when it comes to Blue Planet\u2019s shark dives, what should you expect?\u00a0<\/span>
\nWhether it\u2019s your first shark dive as a brave <\/span>junior<\/span><\/a> or thrill-seeking <\/span>adult<\/span><\/a>, <\/span>diving with huge sharks<\/span><\/a>, stingrays and hundreds of stunning tropical fish can give you some of the best feelings. Here\u2019s every thought you\u2019ll have on your shark diving experience\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n

1. That nervous, but excited feeling<\/b><\/h2>\n

In the lead-up to your dive, your tummy might be filled with butterflies. It\u2019s perfectly normal to experience a few nerves before diving with sharks, especially on your trip to the aquarium.\u00a0<\/span>
\nBut don\u2019t be put off, <\/span>our highly qualified dive team<\/span> will guide you through the whole experience<\/span>. They are always on hand to make you feel at ease. Whether you\u2019re taking on the junior encounter or adult experience<\/span>. Try to embrace the nerves and you\u2019ll feel an even bigger sense of achievement once you\u2019ve finished your dive.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Getting comfortable<\/b><\/h2>\n

You won\u2019t just turn up and get chucked into the deep end of the tank. Now, that wouldn\u2019t be fun for anyone! Instead, getting yourself comfortable in the water is something you\u2019ll definitely experience before swimming with the sharks. Before you venture into the big tank, you\u2019ll get to test out our more manageable training pool. It\u2019s perfect for getting used to the water and easing yourself into the feeling of being beneath the surface.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

3. Appreciation for new skills<\/b><\/h2>\n

Whilst you try out our training pool, you\u2019ll also get the chance to learn some new skills. Sounds good, right? As you get used to the water, you\u2019ll receive full training on how to use the scuba equipment safely.\u00a0<\/span>
\nOur experienced divers will teach you how to fit your scuba masks correctly<\/span>. As well as the technique of mastering how to breathe using the equipment. We\u2019ve got the gear to cater for all ages, from juniors to adults. <\/span>Relax, we\u2019ve got you covered and small heads are definitely welcome.\u00a0<\/span>
\nYou\u2019ll get plenty of time to practice and have the opportunity to quiz our divers on anything you like. <\/span>From how the specialised equipment works, to how many times they\u2019ve dived with sharks in their lifetime!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

4. Sheer excitement\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n

It\u2019s time to take on the big tank. Holding 3.8 million litres of water and full to the brim with<\/span> sharks from a range of species<\/span><\/a>. Now\u2019s the time to get excited. Guided by our expert divers, you\u2019ll slowly enter the tank and submerge yourself under the water. The<\/span>re is no cage, you\u2019ll be in the tank without any barriers, so prepare yourself<\/span>. Taking in your new underwater surroundings is a pretty special experience.\u00a0<\/span>
\nGoing along as a spectator? You\u2019ll be able to witness this incredible moment from our underwater tunnel<\/span>. Be sure to wave hello to your kids, family, or friends from the other side of the shark tank!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

5. Total amazement<\/b><\/h2>\n

Once you\u2019re fully underwater, more than a dozen species of sharks will glide around you<\/span>. Each one is incredibly unique in its own way. Look out for the real giants of <\/span>Blue Planet. Namely, the Sand <\/span>Tiger <\/span>Sharks<\/span><\/a>,<\/span> these can be as large as 4 metres long<\/span>!
\nYou\u2019ll also be able to spot <\/span>Blacktip <\/span>Reef <\/span>Sharks and the bizarre-looking zebra sharks<\/a>! As well as <\/span>S<\/span>tingrays<\/span><\/a> swimming above your heads and smiling down at you<\/span>. Additionally, there are hundreds of stunning tropical fish displaying all kinds of shimmery colours.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

6. Please, can we do it all over again?\u00a0<\/b><\/h2>\n

We wish you could swim in the tank forever too<\/span>. Unfortunately, our sharks might have something to say about that! So after your designated time underwater, it\u2019s time to go back to the dryer side of the tank. Although your Blue Planet shark dive might be over, it\u2019ll definitely be an experience you\u2019ll always remember!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
