For Parents
We have two baby changing tables that can be found in the narrow corridor leading to the café one in the ladies’ toilets and the other a dedicated baby changing room.
If you are planning on bringing a pram the aquarium is all pram friendly with the exception of the moving walkway. We ask any pram users to leave their pram in the pram park next to the tunnel. There is also a pram park available at the front door. For any parents wishing to bring a packed lunch there are picnic tables outside and the party room can be used. Tables within the Bridge Café are prioritised for people who are buying food from the café. Please see the map below to familiarise yourself with our facilities
For Wheelchairs and Mobility Scooters
Deep Sea World is all wheelchair and mobility scooter friendly with ramps al the way through the aquarium. We as that all wheelchairs and mobility scooters do not go on the moving walkway as this can damage the chairs and the walkway. There is a solid floor all the way round our underwater tunnel which is safer for wheelchairs.
Some of our ramps are quite steep when exiting the aquarium. Jf you need assistance please let one of our staff know and they will assist in helping you get around. We have wheelchair friendly toilet facilities opposite our shark classroom. Please see the map below to familiarise yourself with our facilities
For Carers
Carers are free when they are attending with someone with a disability. This is on a one to one ratio and they must provide their carers card as proof of ID.
Many carers prefer to visit at quieter times which is difficult for us to guarantee. We recommend not visiting around the lunch period on weekends, especially if it is raining. Our quietest times are before 11am and after 2:30pm.
Diving with Disabilities
Diving with Sharks is an amazing experience which we have tried to make as accessible as possible. Our dive team are very experienced and trained in diving with both adults and children with physical and mental disabilities.
