Go online for virtual tours around ten of the NTS\u2019s most fascinating projects, including St Kilda, Castle Fraser, and the Hill House of Helensburgh.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Kagyu Samye Ling<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>A Tibetan Buddhist monastery is probably the last thing people think about when they think about Christmas \u2013 but if that\u2019s the kind of Christmas magic you\u2019re looking for, this temple in Eskdalemuir (near Langholm in Dumfries and Galloway) is open all day every day from 6am until 9pm, including Christmas Day.<\/p>\n<p>Even if you don\u2019t fancy the idea of chanting along to the mantra \u2018O\u1e43 ma\u1e47i padme h\u016b\u1e43\u2019, your family can still enjoy the surroundings by taking a stroll around the gardens and simply admiring the breathtaking gilded temple and stupas.<br \/>\n<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Any Outdoor Artwork<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Public artworks don\u2019t know it\u2019s Christmas, so they\u2019ll be around throughout the holiday\u2026 Plus they can be better appreciated when everyone is busy shopping for loved-ones.<\/p>\n<p>The banks of the Clyde have been transformed by roughly a dozen significant works of art that have started a fresh conversation about the historic 30-mile waterway.
