\nHastings Castle will be transformed into ancient Athens for an outdoor performance of \u2018A Midsummer Night\u2019s Dream\u2019 later this year.
\nThe castle ruins are playing host to Chapterhouse Theatre Productions who will be staging one of Shakespeare\u2019s best-loved romantic comedies on Sunday, September 4th<\/sup>.
\nThis year marks the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare\u2019s death and in honour of this Chapterhouse is touring their own special reimagining of the hugely popular play.
\nBeautifully designed Elizabethan costumes, a wonderful new musical score and enchanting woodland creatures go to make this an unmissable garden theatre experience.

\n\u201cThe castle\u2019s beautiful elevated location and rich history will provide a fabulous backdrop to the performance,\u201d said Hastings Castle\u2019s Leanna Lawson.<\/u><\/u>
\n\u201cIn recent years the castle has played host to everything from marching bands to weddings so this will add another exciting chapter in the castle\u2019s recent history.<\/u><\/u>
